The Brother MFC-9700 has the appearance of a beige-gray stack of home-office gadgets. A flatbed scanner sits at the heart of the system, with a laser printer on the bottom and an automated document feeder (ADF) on top. This printer measures 19.5 inches wide by 18 inches deep by 16.8 inches high, which is huge for a standalone printer but standard for a multifunction device. You can now scan or print from digital camera media, or you can install PC applications and work from your desktop.
