Brother MFC-J775DW(XL) Manual (User Guide & Setup Guide)

The Brother MFC-J775DW color inkjet all-in-one printer is ideal for light-duty use in a home or micro office. It uses Brother’s high-yield INKvestment cartridges to deliver significant ink expense savings. This model is even more cost-effective because of its cheap purchase price, which is the lowest of any INKvestment printer to date. Its feature set, on the other hand, is limited; for a little more money, you can have more features with equally low ink costs. As befits a home-office all-in-one, the matte-black is quite compact. It measures 6.8 by 16.5 by 13.4 inches (HWD) and weighs 18.3 pounds, so it should fit easily on your desk. The paper capacity is 100 sheets, which is minimal for a home-office printer. It has an auto-duplexer that allows you to print on both sides of a sheet of paper. The front panel, which features a 1.8-inch non-touch display and four-way controller, as well as relevant function buttons and an alphanumeric keyboard, allows you to copy, scan, and fax, as well as execute setup and administrative activities. Although controlling the device’s all-in-one functionalities via the panel is simple. In addition to a letter-size flatbed for scanning, the MFC-J775DW offers a 20-sheet ADF that can take up to legal-size paper but is limited to simplex (one-sided) scanning. Connectivity is standard for a low-cost all-in-one. It can connect to a PC by USB cable or to a local-area network through Wi-Fi, but it does not support Ethernet. It can connect to a compatible mobile device via Wi-Fi Direct via a direct peer-to-peer connection. On a PC running Windows 10 Professional, I tested it through USB connection with its drivers loaded. The printer is compatible with the Brother iPrint&Scan app and also supports Google Cloud Print and Cortado Workplace. It supports both AirPrint and Mopria for printing from iOS and Android devices. Users can scan and upload photographs to sites such as Box, Brother Cloud Apps, Dropbox, Evernote, Flickr, Google Docs, OneNote, Picasa Web Albums, and Sharepoint Online using Brother Web Connect. The MFC-J775DW does not enable printing or scanning to USB thumb drives or memory cards. Because of this, as well as its lack of Ethernet functionality, it is best suited for single-user use.
