This printer’s Gloss Ink Edition utilizes Gloss Black Ink, which is capable of printing on a larger range of surfaces with varying finishes such as glossy, matte, plain, and more. This printer’s Matte Ink Edition uses Matte Black Ink, which produces deeper, sharper black text and pictures when printed on matte, textured, and plain surfaces exclusively. Both the gloss and matte variants are BS5609 approved and utilize the same color ink cartridges.
