Epson PictureMate Pal PM 200 Manual (User’s Guide & Installation)

The PictureMate Pal is styled to seem like a small, high-tech picnic basket, complete with a pivoting handle and basket cover. The lid opens to display a 2-inch color LCD and a few buttons, and it also functions as a paper input support. One of the buttons, titled Open, opens the printer’s front panel. This panel conceals two memory card slots and serves as an output tray. When folded, the device is 8.5 inches wide, 6 inches deep, and 5.7 inches tall, and it weighs just 5.3 pounds. Its tiny size and handle make it portable, but you’ll have to carry the supplied AC adapter and power wire, which can be cumbersome. Power, menu, Select All, OK, cancel, print, forward and back buttons for browsing the menu or scrolling through photographs, and a layout button that toggles through your layout selections are among the other buttons. All main types of memory cards may be inserted into the memory card slots, albeit some require an adaptor. A USB connector on the printer’s rear allows you to print from PictBridge-enabled cameras. The Pal versions do not enable you to attach external storage devices through the USB port. This entry-level printer has fewer features and slower print rates, but it’s simple to operate, prints 4×6 photographs quickly, has decent image quality, and makes selecting ink and paper a no-brainer. The PictureMate Pal would be ideal for a family who enjoys printing photos to share. Setting up this printer is straightforward, whether you use it with or without a PC, and if you want to print without a computer, simply connect in the power adapter, insert the ink cartridge, and turn it on. You’ll have to wait a few minutes for the ink cartridge to charge the first time you do this. Simply insert a memory card and follow the directions on the LCD to print. To print all of the images on the card, just click the Select All button, select how many copies of each image you want (you must print the same number of each photo), then click the green print button. If you want to choose and choose, use the arrow keys to navigate through the photographs. You may print photographs one by one while you look at them, or you can browse through the full batch (changing image settings and the number of copies as you go) and print all of your selected images at once.
