Epson PictureMate Show PM 300 Manual (User’s Guide & Installation)

Epson’s PictureMate Show PM 300 is a snapshot printer that also includes a digital frame in its design. Having two items in one makes the somewhat expensive price of the PictureMate Show more bearable. Embed a memory card or USB streak drive, or transfer photographs to the PictureMate Show’s 270MB inside memory, and the PictureMate Show will show them on its 7-inch, WVGA show (480-by-800-pixel), with 15:9 color LCD. A clock, a calendar, rudimentary animation, and other effects are available in a variety of slideshow formats. Of course, you can print, and the PictureMate Show does a terrific job of it. It printed color images at 1.4 pages per minute in our tests, with natural fleshtones, vibrant landscapes, and appealing items; black-and-white photos had smooth grayscales. The printer and frame are controlled by an infrared remote that comes with a CR2025 lithium button battery; menus show on the LCD. The remote worked well from a variety of angles, but not from the cradle that sits on top of the printer; Epson claims a range of 16 feet, but we didn’t test this. If you misplace the remote, Epson sells replacements. The PictureMate Show is intended to function without the need of a computer. The cropping tool necessitates a lot of time-consuming zooming and moving. You can’t pick photographs at random for layouts smaller than 4 by 6 inches; instead, you must print a single photo, all photos taken during a specified day or month, or all photos on the medium. Although a Mac driver must be installed, the program does not come with anything. Epson does not provide any picture editing or viewing software after selecting the printer in System Preferences, therefore you must print photographs using apps such as iPhoto, Preview, or Adobe Photoshop Elements over a USB connection (cable not included).
