The Epson Stylus CX6400 multifunction printer comes with a plethora of functions for storing, printing, and editing digital photos. It also prints and copies quicker than competitors in its class, however it scans relatively slowly. It produces high-quality print, scan, and copy results across the board. If digital photography has snuck into your life, the printer can transform it from an afterthought to an essential component of your everyday computing. The silver-and-gray Epson Stylus CX6400, measuring 23 inches by 17.75 inches by 12 inches, has a little bulge at the sides and appears about as aerodynamic as an Airstream trailer (W, D, H). When not in use, the output tray slides under the base, freeing up some space on your desk, while the input support flops over the scanner bed but does not lie totally flat, which looks ridiculous. Both paper supports are strong enough for a home or a home office, however we don’t know why the input paper support comes off. The scanner lid also detaches, which is important since it allows you to arrange things that would otherwise be too large to fit on the A4-size glass. The scanner bed also opens wide, allowing you to reach in and refill the two ink cartridges. The two most important aspects of the Epson Stylus CX6400 are front and center. The majority of popular digital camera memory-card formats, including Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, and Magic Gate Memory Stick, CompactFlash I and II, SmartMedia, IBM Microdrive, Secure Digital, and MultiMediaCard, are supported by five flash-memory slots hidden beneath a small plastic flap above the output tray. A control panel with an LCD and logically arranged, properly labeled buttons for each set of functions runs down the strip between the memory-card module and the scanner glass.
