Epson’s WorkForce 600 is a trendy multifunction device featuring a copier, scanner, fax, and picture printer that is excellent for a home office or small company. It’s built to rival the speed of a more expensive laser printer while yet delivering outstanding ink-jet images. While is not as quick as a laser printer, we found it to be one of the fastest and most well-rounded ink-jet printers available. It can be tied to one computer or service a small workgroup thanks to its Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and USB connections. Setting up a wireless connection for printing, scanning, detecting ink levels, and cleaning print heads is simple. With the exception of scanning, most of these functions may be completed via the device’s control panel. The scan button on the WorkForce 600’s LCD screen was broken, and we could only scan properly using the Epson Scan program on our Mac. The printer has a black design that would not only look well in an office but will also blend in with a home’s décor, much like a radio or DVD player would. The 2.5-inch LCD screen flips out on a panel in small form, making it simple to operate. Users may use the panel to copy, scan, and fax documents, as well as view and print images from the three memory card ports. The WorkForce 600, on the other hand, produces vibrant color printouts. Fine lines, gradients, Photoshop picture quality, and text quality were all assessed to be of Very Good quality. The photographs did have an unpleasant degree of glare that our jurors found distracting. When it came to the device’s copier and scanner, we discovered that the color and clarity scan tests both scored Very Good, but our clarity test revealed that the scanner dropped the lightest shades of gray, images printed brighter and with less contrast than they should, and gradients were not complete. We found the blacks to be flat and there were obvious dots across the image in the copy test, which was the sole weak aspect in the jury examinations. Some details were lost or fuzzy on a copy of our test photo document, and the overall print quality was poor, receiving just a Good grade.
