Epson’s WorkForce WF-110 Wireless Mobile Printer, which was introduced in early 2015, was designed particularly for business travelers to use with a tablet or smartphone. This is an excellent portable printer and an excellent addition to any road warrior’s armory, particularly for light-duty use. It prints beautifully and is reasonably light and extremely dependable. When closed for storage or transport, the measures 2.4 by 12.2 by 6.1 inches (HWD) and weighs 3.5 pounds, making it the same size and weight as its predecessor, but somewhat smaller. The battery may be charged using the included AC power adapter or over USB from a computer or mobile device. Charge times, according to Epson, vary substantially depending on charging method. It takes around 2.5 hours to charge on AC, and about 10 hours to charge on USB with a 0.5A connection (USB 2.0). The WF-110’s battery will last for around 100 monochrome prints or 50 color pages once charged, and it will, of course, run eternally on AC power. However, it will not charge through USB when in use. Epson also sells an add-on external battery that extends cordless printing life by roughly 500 prints. A 1.4-inch color LCD, a pair of navigational arrow keys, an OK button, and a Cancel button comprise the control panel. There is an SD card port for printing from memory cards such as SD, SDHC, SDXC, and MiniSD, MiniSDHC, MicroSD, MicroSDHC, and MicroSDXC (with adaptor). With a printer this compact, you’d expect a minimal paper path, and that’s precisely what you get: a 20-sheet input tray that can also store one 10 envelope or five sheets of picture paper. Wireless (802.11 b/g/n), USB 2.0 connection to a single PC, and Wi-Fi Direct are among the common communication ports on the WF-110. This final one is a wireless peer-to-peer protocol connection that allows mobile devices to connect to the printer without the use of an intermediate network. Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, Fire OS support, and Mopria Print Service are among the other mobile connectivity possibilities. Through the Epson Connect app collection, you can also acquire Epson Email Print, Epson Remote Print, Epson Print and Scan, Epson Photo Scan, Epson Scan to Cloud, and Epson iPrint. Print, scan, and share photographs, emails, web pages, Microsoft Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint files, and PDF documents right from your phone or tablet with iPrint. It also supports the online services Box, Dropbox, Evernote, Google Drive, and Microsoft OneDrive.
